We were all surprised and saddened to hear last week that Moss, the influential art/design gallery in soho would be closing in February after 18 years in business. I had the pleasure of talking with Murray Moss last year as part of our design mashups series for fast company; it was a thrill to hear stories and insights from this brilliant visionary. (is brilliant visionary redundant?)

Anyhow, the good news is that what is really happening here is not the end of a book, but just the end of one chapter. What's next? Something that sounds super cool and exciting; Moss Bureau. Read what Murray Moss has to say about it all in this article out today:

Loving the work that Arper has done recently; clarifying and evolving both the message and awareness of their brand through multi-level design efforts. Already greatly appreciated their furniture and presentation, now enjoying seeing them stepping things up to yet another level. Well done, Arper. philippe starck and eugeni quitllet have been collaborating on some really beautiful pieces these past few years; here is a video showing the realization of a chair they designed for the royal monceau hotel; the custom construction, stitching and leatherwork are by bruno demeau and philippe peres.
