I've been an admirer of Graham Gillmore's paintings for a long time. First saw his work at Catherine Clarke's gallery in San Francisco back in the mid-90s. Then again at Pierogi in Williamsburg in the early 2000's. Most recently at Gallery 16 just this past year - that was a beautiful show. Gillmore's work is just so cool. It's blobby. It's luscious. It's funny. The colors are great. No one else paints quite like Gillmore. I collect artist monographs, and would love a Graham Gillmore book. Unfortunately, there isn't one, as far as I know. That seems a minor travesty that should be rectified. Let's hope that happens soon.
